Obituary

Vivian Lucille Sullivan Roberts, affectionately known as "Miss Lucille", 90 was born January 22, 1925 in Dewitt County to the late Thomas J. Williams, Sr. and Lucy Nickerson Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended school in Yoakum, Cuero, and Corpus Christi, Texas. She was united in marriage to Warren LaRue Sullivan who preceded her in death. To this union, 5 children were born. While juggling the demands of motherhood, Lucille also attended Del Mar College where she graduated with a degree in Nursing. As a nurse she dedicated herself to her to profession caring for others. Later in life, Lucille remarried Addis L. Roberts who also preceded her in death.
As a gifted seamstress and gardener, she took pride in her home and was impeccable in her appearance. Miss Lucille loved her hats and attending Calvary First Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed, under the leadership of Rev. H.C. Dilworth and Bishop C. E. Richardson. Though her health waned, she never lost her love for gardening. She to nurture cuttings, she found in the neighborhood and nurse them to flower. Her love for people and nature was unconditional.
Preceding her in death are her father and mother, her husband(s) brothers, George Williams, Maurice Williams, Thomas J. Williams Jr. Charles Herman Williams and Noah Floyd Williams, sisters Gladys Rebecca Lewis and Goldie Mae Johnson.
She leave to cherish her memory: her daughter Sandra Sullivan Johnson of Austin, Texas; sons Warren Sullivan and Michael Sullivan (Helen), Vernon Sullivan, and Thomas Wayne Sullivan all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Eliza Marie Bartles of Austin, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 3:00 P.M.. to 7:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 26 11:00 A.M. at Calvary First Baptist Church.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Nobles Cemetery in Cuero, Texas.
