Obituary

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, Sherman Ray Estes, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the age of 64.
Born on December 6, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was the only son to the late Homer and Alva Estes. After graduating from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1970, he was drafted into the United States Army where he obtained the rank of E4 before receiving a honorable discharge in 1972.
He is survived by Janice Estes, his wife of 42 years, as well as his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Matthew Zavaglia of Leander, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Patricia Estes of Martinsburg, West Virginia; and three grandsons, Eian and Evan Estes and Maddox Zavaglia.
Sherman worked as the general manager of G&H Towing Company in Corpus Christi, Texas and retired in 2014 after 40 years of service. While he enjoyed many hobbies, music was his primary passion, especially playing the guitar.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Solomon Ortiz Center in the Kleberg Room.
