Obituary

Seth Melva Major was born on December 2, 1942, to Seth and Melva Haywood in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended elementary and middle school in Corpus Christi and graduate high school from Solomon Coles High School in 1961.

After high school graduation she attended business school in San Francisco, California. After her graduation, she returned to Corpus Christi to pursue a career. Early in her career she worked for Frost bank prior moving to Koch/Suntide refinery. She retired from Koch/Suntide refinery after 25 years.

Seth was an active at the library and activities in New Edition; member of the Ladies Hotshots and served on the PenFed Credit Union board of directors for over 10 years.

Seth's hobbies included golfing, skeet shooting, hunting, and traveling. After retirement she loved to meet her friends at the Athletic Club to work out then proceed to have a 2-3 hour lunch. One of her favorite activities was planning and attending the Solomon Coles High School reunion. She served faithfully in various positions on the reunion committee.

Seth was proceeded in death by her parents Seth and Melva (Fuzzi) Haywood, her husband John Major. Seth's cousins and friends will always cherish her memories and mourn her loss while sharing her stories.

The Family has asked that donations be made to the Solomon Cole's alumni.
