It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra "Sandy" Lizette Morales, announces her passing on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, after battling several health issues. She fought hard to overcome them, as she was very stubborn. She peacefully left this world and went to be with the Lord where she will dance forever to her favorite country songs.
She was proudly born on April 19, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, but grew up in Corpus Christi. She was known by many all-around town, as she was a head cheerleader at Robert W. Wilson School and held many jobs throughout town. Her favorite job was a "bagger" at Super K-Mart. Everyone at K-Mart knew her, as she never met a stranger. She was very upset when they closed Super K-Mart because she always said she was very important there, and they needed her.
She was also a regular at Enrique's restaurant where she would dine daily, and tell the staff to put her meal on her dad's tab. She was too smart for her own good and a "chip off the old block", as my dad always said. Even walking home from Enrique's, a mugger tried to grab her purse, but she fought until he had to give up. No one would be taking Sandra Morales' purse that day.
She is survived by her 4 siblings: Linda Morales, Cynthia Morales Garcia, Leticia Morales, and her favorite brother Joe Morales. A rosary for Sandra will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home at 5026 Old Brownsville Rd; Corpus Christi, Texas; 78405, on Wednesday, Aug. 8th, at 7 p.m. We will then celebrate her life on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church located at 3210 S. P.I.D.; Corpus Christi, Texas, 78415.
