Roy Anthony Stevens Sr. was born on January 19, 1962 in Gonzales, Tx to Alonia Hampton and paternal father Roy Stevens. His sunset on this world on August 12, 2016. He graduated from W.B. Ray High in 1980 and attended Del Mar College majoring in Criminal Justice.
Roy was very passionate about working, loving to stay busy or having a task to do. He was employed with The Nueces Juvenile Detention Center and Advance Auto Parts. When he was not at work, you could find Roy doing various hobbies. His first love would be his cars, spending countless hours taking apart or rebuilding anything that dealt with a car. Next, he discovered he had a talent for carpentry. He made vast improvements to the home he shared with his fiance building a deck, cabinets and a picket fence. He truly believed and proved that he could do anything that he could put his mind to. Roy had a mass love for his family, yet a quiet man and very reserved about manners that concerned himself. Through the mist of adversity with his health, he remained cheerful, happy, and kept his great sense of humor. A great lost is felt from his passing by loved ones and friends, but we rest easy knowing that he is no longer burdened by the worries of this world and loved ones are waiting to greet him in Heaven.
