Patrick Henry Mumphord's Obituary
Patrick Henry Mumphord passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was born October 10, 1928 in Placedo, Texas to the late Scircy and Altha Murray Mumphord. He was the ninth child born to this union.
Mr. Mumphord graduated from F.W. Gross High School in Victoria, Texas. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum Company for 20 plus years. Mr. Mumphord was a member of St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Harold Branch. He later joined St. Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Laster. Mr. Mumphord was united in holy matrimony to Joyce Celistine, to this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lillian Wren, Maggie Mumphord, Eula Williams; brothers, Thomas (Sonny) Mumphord, Vernice (Mannie) Mumphord and Melvin Mumphord and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Linda Jackson of Arlington, Virginia, Patty (Victor) Friar of Fort Worth, Texas, one son, Reginald Mumphord of Corpus Christi, Texas, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sisters; Francis Mays of Rosenburg, Texas, Delores Nobles of San Antonio, Texas, Audrey Cook of Victoria, Texas; and Roysteen Mumphord of Houston, Texas,a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends;a special friend Iretta Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
