Mildred Mae Cooks heeded her Father's call and on the morning of October 7, 2019, as an obedient daughter, she answered His call.

Mildred was born on June 17, 1941 to the late Wayman Cooks, Sr. and Beatrica Crothers in Hutto, Texas. She was preceded in death by parents and two brother, Wayman and Eugene Cook.

Mildred believed in a loved God. She accepted Christi as her Lord and Savior at an early age and then united with St. John First Baptist Church upon moving to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1959.

Mildred was employed by Corpus Christi Independent School District where served as the Food Service Manger for over 40 years.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her brother, Jamie Cook, her sons, Bill Cook, Gene (Becky) Porter, Johnny Thompson, and Kendrick Mitchell, her daughter, Brenda Mack, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who are all blessed because she touched their lives and loved them so much.
