Michael James Reyna's Obituary
Michael James Reyna, age 31, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, went to be with the Lord on Sunday November 15, 2015. Michael was born on January 21, 1984 in Victoria Texas. He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, faith and laughter in his children and family. He worked as a painter/blaster for many years. He loved what he did. He received his NCCER certificate as an industrial painter in September 2014. Outside of work, he loved to fish. Fishing was more than a sport to him, it was his everything. He joined many fishing tournaments through out his life. He always tried to get family and friends to join him in his fishing expeditions. He would fish through out Corpus Christi and surrounding cities. His loved ones will continue to fish in his remembrance.
He is preceded in death by his sister Maria Isabel Gonzalez.
He is survived by his wife Maria Castillo and their daughter Avery Lynn Reyna, step children who he considered as his own, Anthony and Anabelle Zavala, a daughter from a previous relationship,Madison Reyna. His mother, Mary Jane Reyna, stepfather, Jose Marcos Gonzalez, father, Domingo Reyna and his grandmother who he considered his mom, Maria Longoria Macias. Also surviving are his three sisters: April Reyna, Juanita Reyna, and Natasha Reyna, three brothers: Domingo Reyna, George Gonzalez and Jose Gonzalez Jr. and Jimmy Macias who was not only his best friend but his brother, aunts: Virginia Macias and Paula Plummer, uncles who raised him: Pedro Macias, Joe Macias and Juan Alcantar, 9 nieces and 5 nephews. Michael will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
