Rev. Loyd "Pops" Brown's Obituary
Rev. Loyd "Pops" Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2016 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by one brother, Willie Brown. Loyd proudly served in the US Army. He was an ordained Minister and Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed.
Loyd leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 60 years, Margie Brown, six children; Wendell (Maria), Vanessa (Melvin), Loycie (Jerry), Anthony (Donna), James (Pamela) and Cynthia (James), two brothers; Lester and Lewis Brown, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary First Baptist Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
