Lonzo James Chase, Jr., was born on December 20, 1948, to Lonzo James Chase, Sr. and Lena Mae Chase.

During his earlier years he joined Job Corp in San Marcos, Texas where he was trained to become a Cook. After Job Corp Lonzo returned back to Corpus Christi, Texas and worked as a cook for the Astor Restaurant and Denny's Restaurant for a number of years.

Later on, Lonzo took care of his son Paul Chase until his death.

Lonzo Chase James, Jr., has gone to join his Mom and Dad; a sister Addie Davis; a brother Aaron Chase and a niece LaShawn Davis.

Lonzo leaves behind three sisters Lena Young, Carolyn Chase and JoAnn Campbell; two step-sisters Janet Chase and Cleo Chase; four brothers George Chase, Richard Chase, Charles Chase, and L. V. Chase; one step-brother John John Chase; and four children Paul Chase, Patrice Linsey, LaShaie Monsevais, and Christine (no last name); and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
