Lola Lane's Obituary
Mrs. Lola Horton Lane was called home to Glory on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born in Creedmore. Texas on August 5, 1925 to the union of Icy B. and Rev. Andrew J. Horton. Upon arrival to Corpus Christi, Texas, Lola Horton was united in Holy Matrimony to Ralph Lane for over 32 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Rev. W.C. Horton, Rev. V.H. Horton, her sisters, Minnie Evans, Lury Kimball, Lillian DeWitty, Cella Freeman, Velma Page, Algerie Orr, her niece, Daisy Horton, her nephews, Myron Horton and Jeffrey Hill.
Lola leaves to cherish her precious memories, her son, Sherman Lane, grandson, Quincy Lane, her nephews, Victor Horton Jr, Larry Horton, Marvin Horton, WC Horton, Gene Snead, Lester Sterling, her nieces, Geraldine Darden, Mary Wallace, Lovie Lee Hill, Alice Gene Huggins, Beverly Juniel, Carolyn Sterling, LaShawn Page, Edwina Abernathy, Gwen Butler and a host of other nieces, nephews, and family members whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 between 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
