Lloyd Russell Young (Prune), 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas died February 27, 2019.

He was born on December 9, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas to A.C. Young and Josephine Stanfield Young.

Prune joined the United States Army at a young age in 1963. After retiring from the Army he made his home in Tuscon Arizona, where he started his new journey with the United States Postal Service. After many years he made the decision to transfer to McAllen Texas. After the passing of his mother, Prune decided to finally come back to his hometown of Corpus Christi to be with his family.

Prune was loving to all that he met. If he considered you a friend, then he considered you family. He will be dearly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Josephine and A.C. Young.

He is survived by his wife Starlett Nicholls, Niece LaTanya Young-Moore (Clifton), Nephew Michael L. Young (Kristen), Great Nieces Azure Rai Wade (Terry), Avante' Young, Great-Great Nieces Zuri, and Dallas Wade, Great- Great Nephews Michael, Dakari, and DJ. Young.

Visitation will be held from 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Interment/ Burial will be at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11A.M.
