Lionel Edward Jackson, affectionately known to Family and friends as Bubba, was called home by his heavenly Father on July 25, 2021. Lionel was born on December 22, 1949, to Carroll W. and Willia Mae Jackson, who preceded him in death. He accepted The Lord at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Robstown Texas. He married Linda LaRue on December 21, 1973, and to this union, a son, Michael Reginald, was born. They were married 47 years.  He matriculated through the Robstown Independent school district and graduated from Robstown High in 1969. He also attended New Mexico Highland College. He entered the US Army in December 1970 and served until December 1976. He retired from Kerr McGee in 1999. He enjoyed retirement, Barbecuing, socializing with family and friends and spending time helping neighbors.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife, Linda LaRue Jackson, a son Michael Reginald Jackson, a grandson Emory Izaiah Jackson, a sister Carolyn Rice, uncles Clarence Jackson (Carlene), Willie D. Finley, his mother-in-law, Tommie LaRue, sister-in-law Faye Morrow, brother-in-law, Dr. Cleophus J. LaRue (Lori). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A childhood and devoted friend, Willie Lewis.
