Junious E.
Williams Jr.

Junious Edward Williams Jr. was born on January 20, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Junious Williams Sr. and Willie Ora Williams. Junious grew up in San Antonio where he matriculated through the San Antonio Independent School District and graduated from Wheatley High School where he was a member of the marching band and played baseball. After graduation, he attended St Phillips College.
In his early adult years, Junious worked for Northern Pacific Railroad as a porter. It was there on the route from Austin to San Antonio, he would meet the love of his life, Ora Ruth Williams. Junious' career at Reynolds Metals Company spanned 31 years. At age 55, he retired as a supervisor from Reynolds' and began his second career working for the City of Corpus Christi as an Environmental Specialist for the Public Health Department where he served as a public servant until age 72.
Junious was a man of great faith! Joining St. John Baptist Church, he honored God and lived a life of service; working faithfully for more than 35 years as a Deacon and Church Trustee. He loved teaching Sunday School and lifting his voice in praise to God. He truly had the heart of a servant and was committed to doing the work of the Lord.
Lovingly known as "Chip," he was active in many civil organizations and was one of the founding members of "The Grands" social club. He was a member of the Pan-American Golf Association. He made sure that passion for the game of golf was passed on to all of the men in the family. Junious also enjoyed time well-spent with the R.O.M.E.O Club.
Junious enjoyed living life. He cherished the simple, precious moments with his family and friends. HE WAS TRULY BELOVED.
