Obituary

Juanita Billups Dickerson passed away on April 29, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Solomon Melvin Coles High School and graduated in 1946. She attended Samuel Houston College in Austin, Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree on May 28, 1950. Juanita obtained her Teacher's Certificate from the State of Texas on June 1, 1951. On August 27, 1961 she received her Master's Degree from Texas Southern University. She was a Librarian and Teacher Educator in Midland and San Antonio, Texas. Juanita was married to the late Rev. Dr. Adolphus S. Dickerson. There were no children to this union. They were members of the Fort Street Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Dickerson was also a member of the Alpha, Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memory, one sister-in-law, one God Daughter, one God Son, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, 5026 Old Brownsville Road.
