Obituary

John Sidney (Bosie) Nichols

Corpus Christi , TX
There is an appointed time for everything and a time for every affair under the heavens. A time to give birth, and a time to die;..., a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance. Eccl. 3:1-4.
Please join us as we take time to celebrate and praise God for the life of John Sidney (Bosie) Nichols. John, a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, was the third child born to Allen and Ann Washington Nichols on October 14, 1923 in Carlisle, Arkansas. The Angels of God came to claim His own on December 8, 2016. John answered the call by closing his eyes in eternal sleep to journey on alone.
John was a dedicated and faithful member of St. John Baptist Church on Greenwood Drive under the leadership of Dr. Derrick E. Reaves, Senior Pastor. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired Reynolds Metals Sherman Alumina Plant employee, and a life member of the H. Boyd Hall Chapter, NAACP.
John's parents, Allen and Ann Nichols, two sisters, Lenella Abraham and Clideora Nichols precedes him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Rose Williams Nichols; two nieces, Frances (Robert "CC") Brown and Billye Ann Johnson of Little Rock, AR.; sister-in-law, Viola W. Haynes of Corpus Christi, TX. Extended family: The Josie Lee Mathis Williams Family of Victoria, Texas. Special friends: Rev. Eddie Cross, Lena Carter, Verda Jones, and Margaret Parker, all of Corpus Christi, TX; Carl Parker of Little Rock, AR.
