Obituary

On January 13, 1948 JoAnn Pulliam/Henderson was born  to the late Chester & Lela Pulliam.
JoAnn grew up in Molina in Corpus Christi ,Tx in a loving household playing with her one and only sister Joyce Pulliam raised  by their father Chester  Pulliam.
JoAnn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1988.
As an adult JoAnn found  a love for sewing, modeling and had a gift of dancing that no one else had. She also had a love for music. Her idol was Diana Ross who starred in her favorite movie Mahogany. She would often design her modeling outfits and clothes for her 4 children. She became a professional model and graduated from Barizon Agency of Dallas TX where she was also a modeling instructor teaching young girls and boys how to model including her own children. One of the highlights of her modeling career is when she was feature on the cover of The National Magazine For Black Entertainment  "MAHOGANY" on November 13,1977 in an outfit she designed. She had a career at TI (Texas Instruments) for many years and retired from Fleet Pride, Corpus Christi, TX as a collections specialist.
In her spare time JoAnn enjoyed making up dance steps with her 3 daughters and her one and only son. They have a special dance step called the ' Cabarey' which she still did with her children up to the time of her passing.
In her later years JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing Uno
and enjoying her retirement and being a Prayer Warrior for her family and friends. She was a Woman of God with a Beautiful Spirit and all who came in in contact with her loved her. She loved and adored her Children and life and itself. She loved angels and that is what she is and will always be to her family and friends "A Unforgettable Angel"
On the morning of February 8,  2020 she hear the voice Jesus say, Come unto Me and Rest; Lay down thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon My breast.
She is proceed in death by: Her Father & Mother, Chester & Lela Pulliam and the Father of her children Jimmy Henderson.
Left the cherish her memories are: Oldest and only Sister Joyce Elaine Hayes (Elder Willie Hayes)of Leesville, Louiana, Her only Son Carl Cardell Greer of Corpus Christi,  Daughters Tunja Renee Dodd (Charles Donald Dodd), Demetra Allen (Leon Allen Jr.) and Michelle Annette Henderson. She had a special love for her two Granddaughters Tyesha Nicole Franklin (Torry Franklin) and Shaniqua Love Iesha West, 2 Great Grandchildren who called her GranGran Isaiah Ramone Nixon & Trinity Nevaeh Franklin and Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
