Jennifer Alina
Garcia
Jul 10, 1986 — Jul 7, 2020
Jennifer Alina Garcia, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and fiancée, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 after a brief illness.
The world will be less bright without her contagious smile, joyful light and infectious laughter, which touched so many hearts.
Jennifer was born in Corpus Christi on July 10, 1986 and was raised in Kingsville.
Love and strength bonded Jennifer and her family. As the baby of the family, Jennifer was a daddy's girl from the start and loved to hunt and fish with her dad. She spent nearly every day by her mother's side, ensuring that no need went unmet.
Jennifer and her sister Dominique shared a strong bond, not just because of their close age, but because of the deep friendship that united them all their lives.
Jennifer was a proud and doting aunt to her two nephews, Jason and Jesse, whom she loved immensely.
In October — her favorite time of year — Jennifer was to live out her dream wedding, marrying her long-time best friend and love of her life, Alistair. Jennifer and Al were inseparable since meeting in college at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Their sense of joy, fun and happiness was a gift to those fortunate enough to watch their relationship grow. The love they felt for one another and their storybook romance will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Jennifer was driven by her compassion, big heart and a sense of selflessness. She made friends everywhere. Family and friends knew they didn't need to ask for her help — Jennifer was always there to give it. It was her desire to care for others that drew her to the healthcare field after earning a communications degree from Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2010, where she helped lead the university's student radio station KTAI.
Jennifer worked at Christus Spohn Shoreline as a pharmacy technician up until the time of her illness.
Jennifer had a lighthearted spirit that made those around her happy. She loved Hello Kitty. Her favorite color was purple. She loved roller coasters, cooking, baking and going to concerts. Her giving nature, beautiful smile and sense of joy will leave a void for those who loved her. They remain strong, having great faith that they will be together again one day.
Jennifer is survived by her parents John Almaraz Garcia and Maria Antonia Garcia; sister Dominique Damian (Celestino B.); nephews Jason and Jesse; paternal aunts Velma Castro and Janie Cantu; maternal aunts Otilia Silguero, Oralia Garza (David), Lupita Rendon; and maternal uncle Eufracio Molina; maternal cousin Judy Garcia (Tito Sr.) and their son Tito Jr.; paternal cousins Jessica Renee Castro-Lynch (Justin) and their children Vaughn and Bodhi; Jason Castro; Fernando Garcia Jr., Albert Garcia (Nikki) and their children Gabriella and Joaquin; Amanda Garcia (Eric) and their children Alaina and Alexis; Rodney Martinez (Latisha) and their children Roderic and Isa; future-in-laws Dr. Alfredo Andaya and Hilarie Andaya; future sister-in-law Anne Andaya; niece Jane and nephews Ben and Bear; and numerous family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved fiancé Alistair Andaya;paternal grandparents Juan Escobedo Garcia and Victoria Almaraz Garcia; maternal grandparents Juan Gaytan and San Juana Torres Gaytan; paternal uncle Fernando Garcia Sr.; maternal aunt Guadalupe Molina and cousin Fatima Gaytan.

Dear Family and Friends,
With the continuous rise of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in Corpus Christi, we kindly ask family and friends from out of town to please avoid the attendance of our Jenni's rosary, funeral Mass, and funeral. We thank each of you for sharing your condolences and sweet memories of our baby Jenni, but we ask that you please respect our wishes at this time. By staying home, you can help save yourselves and others from getting sick. Our Jenni wouldn't want anyone to risk their health during this difficult time. Instead, we ask that you contact your local parish to celebrate Mass in her memory or light a candle for a prayer intention for our sweet Jenni.
There will be a live video streaming on facebook under Heritage Memorial Funeral Home if you would like to watch the services live. So that you don't have to come in during this difficult time for everyone safety.
