Harry Thompson was born to the late Deacon James Thompson and late Earlene Thompson on January 30,1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was born and raised. Harry was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend. He had a passion for car's both for racing them and working on them. He also loved to upkeep his yard as well as the church's yard.

Harry attended Crossely Elementary School, Driscoll Middle School and Roy Miller High School. In 1987, he started working for Del Mar College at the West campus as a dedicated Landscaper, he stayed with Del Mar until 1997 when he was put on medical retirement. In 1979 Harry welcome a baby girl. In 1983 Harry met his future wife Ada Thompson and later married in 1986 when they combined both their families. Their family then consisted of 4 children: 3 girls Harriette Dorsey (43), Deana Escamilla (39) and Tra' Vern (Nikkie) Escamilla (37), 1 boy Rodney Coats Jr. (40). Harry and Ada are blessed with 11 grandkids and 1 great grandchild and where later blessed with 3 more grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

He was proceded in death by his 2 parents and 2 brothers. Survivors are his loving wife Ada Thompson 59 yrs, his 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand, and 10 brother and sisters; Ida Simmons (John), Louis Randle, Ray Randell ((d) Frances), Larry Thomas(d) (Grace), Christine Jackson (Lester), Hazel Burris (Jimmy), James Thompson Jr (Sharon), Steve Thompson (Marsha), Lavern Hoodye ((d)Johnnie), Joe Lee Thompson(d) (Jessie), Daniel Thompson (Michelle), Jestine Know (Renior) and a host of nieces and nephews.
