Geneva Howard's Obituary
Geneva Howard was born on October 19, 1932 in Glen Flora, Texas to her proud parents, Elijah Johnson and Evelyn Johnson. Geneva passed away on November 26, 2016 at the age of 84. She fell in love with Melvin Howard Sr. on April 1, 1954 and they were married by the late Pastor H. Clay Dilworth. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Melvin Jr. and Victor Howard.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Elvira Butler of Corpus Christi, her elder daughter, Constance Howard Jones (Lloyd) of Houston, Texas, one elder son, Larry Mitchell, one daughter, Velda Howard Thomas (Michael) of Corpus Christi, Texas, one special nephew, Ellis Johnson (Mattie) of Houston, Texas, two special daughters, Carol Poe (Mitchell) and Debbie Redix of Corpus Christi, twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, one godson, William Thomas Jr., special niece, Joyce Collins (Wade) of Austin, Texas and a great host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary First Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery .
