Frankie B. Simmons' Obituary
Frankie B. Simmons was born on November 4, 1933 in Woodsboro, Texas to her parents Edward and Willie Mary Bess Ricks. Being the youngest of seven children. She accepted Christi at the age of ten and became a member of New Light Baptist Church pastured by Rev. Thomas Smith. She attended and graduated from Woodsboro Elementary and in 1953 she graduated from A.T.Barefield High in Refugio. Mrs. Simmons, starting at a young age, served as pianist at her church until she accepted the position in 1953 at Community Baptist/Macedonia Baptist church until present. Sis. Simmons gives credit to Bobbie Jean Charleston Dennis as being instrumental in her accepting the position as pianist for the then Community Baptist Church. She served as pianist on special occasions for numerous Churches in the coastal bend area, Refugio County and Kerrville, Texas. Her dedication, lovable disposition and spiritual fellowship in God's music have always been as asset to this and surrounding Churches. In 1958, she married the late Deacon Joe Simmons, who went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2003. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; Two Sons, Kevin (Symantha) Simmons and Tracy (Debbie) Simmons, both of Friendswood, Tx., Two Grandchildren; Kayla Simmons and Derek Simmons; One Sister, Christine McDow of Ingleside, Tx and One Brother, Elvin Ricks of Ingleside, Tx. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends;
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.
