Darryl Wayne Tippins' Obituary
Darryl Wayne Tippins White, transitioned unexpectedly of natural causes on May 8,
2020. He was the son of the late Gladys L. Smith and Gene Arthur Williams. Darryl
attended Roy Miller High School and later obtained his GED. Darryl was honorably
discharged from the United States Marine Corp Boot Camp. Darryl was raised in St.
Matthew Baptist Church and recently attended Rock City Church locally. He had
renewed relationship with the Lord and lived by Faith.
Darryl known as "D" loved to read, cook and was true food connoisseur. He loved
watching National Geographic and the History Channel. He was a wealth of
knowledge and could have received an honorary PhD in any degree. He was
extremely smart, articulate and a "smooth" charmer. He always had an amazing
sense of humor and an infectious laugh to make your day. He was a true friend an
always o>ered a listening ear.
Darryl was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Darryl will be truly missed
by his daughter Kimberly Tanner (late Jeremiah) of Pearland, Texas. Sisters, Sherri
Comfort (Steven) of Simi Valley, CA, Stephanie O'Guinn (Sheldon) of Williamsburg,
VA, Kathy Price-Ward (Anthony) of Portsmouth, VA, and maternal grandmother
Dorothy Woodson of Williamsburg VA. Two grandchildren Ka'Lynn and Patrick
Broadnax. Nieces and nephews; Enrae Green, Kiantraea Matthews, Keisha Marshall,
(late) Shelorian Comfort, Michael Comfort, Brittany O'Guinn, Zachary and Jordan
Ward. Two very special long time special friends Linda Gilmore and Melissa Miller. A
host of great- nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Step-sisters Dena (Michael)
Williams-Alexander of Hemet, CA and Sebrena Williams of Houston, TX. The Rhoder
Family of CC, TX.
