Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carolina P. Flores, lovingly known as Carol, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 69. Surrounded by her beloved family and close friends, Carol was a beacon of light, love, and laughter to all who knew her.

Born on November 27, 1955, to Noe L. Flores and Consuelo Perez Flores, Carol was the oldest of four siblings. She took great pride in being the first granddaughter, niece, and cousin on the Perez side of her family, a role that shaped her compassionate and generous nature. Her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and distinctive purple hair will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

A woman of unwavering faith, Carol devoted her life to the Lord and lived with kindness, love, and a deep sense of gratitude. She graduated from Richard King High School in Corpus Christi in May 1974, received her RN license from Del Mar College, and later earned a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring  in Geology and a minor in Biology, from Texas A&I University Kingsville in May 1987. Carol's warm and nurturing spirit touched many lives, having worked at Riverside Hospital, Bayside Home Health Services, and, more recently, at Orion Home Health Services.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Noe L. Flores and Consuelo Perez Flores, her sister Carmen P. Flores, and her brothers Noe L. Flores Jr. and Ruben P. Flores. Though she has been reunited with those she loved dearly, she is survived by her extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish her memory forever.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who offered prayers, love, and support during Carol's journey. Special thanks go to her home health provider, Lydia Gonzalez, her best friend Mercy Woolvin and her family, and the caring medical staff at Christus Spohn Shoreline, especially the nurse named Carol, who so tenderly cared for our angel on her final day.

Carol's legacy lives on through her family, friends, and everyone who was touched by her boundless love and unshakeable faith.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home, 5026 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5830 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas, followed by interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche Street, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jeffrey Gauntt, Randal Adams, Ronald Bazan, Anthony Urbina, Oscar Flores, and Gregorio Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearer is Chris Perez.

Carol's bright spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will forever be remembered with affection and gratitude.
