Carl Edwin Vaughn's Obituary
Carl Edwin Vaughn Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2015, at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Robstown, Texas. He was born June 13, 1961 in Richmond, Texas, to Carl E. Vaughn Sr., and Minnie P. Vaughn. Carl Jr. graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1979. He attended U.T. at Austin. Carl Jr. was a member of St. John Baptist Church, where he served as youth president under Rev. Harold T. Branch. He was a very loving son and loved fishing with his family. He played baseball and golf at Miller High School. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mildred and Carrie Vaughn
,
Gus and Roberta Conner.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Minnie Vaughn, his sons Carl III , and Jamal Vaughn, his brothers, Ricky Vaughn, of Corpus Christi, Texas , Todd Vaughn (Jackie) of Fort Worth, Texas and o ne sister, Terry Lawson (John) of Houston, Texas, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
We would like to give a special thank you to Pastor Derrick E. Reaves, and St. John Baptist family for their love, support and prayers. Thank you to Retama Manor Nursing, Christus Hospice and Palliate Care-Spohn for all your care for our son Carl , thank you.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Baptist Church , 5445 Greenwood Dr., with Pastor Derrick Reaves officiating. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
