Billy Joe Daniel, 73, of Heartland, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2022.

He was born to the late Johnnie Mae Daniel and John Daniel Sr, on August 12, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He graduated from Corpus Christi Independent School district in 1966. Billy joined the United States Army during the Vietnam war and later enlisted in the Navy.

In 1969 he enrolled at Guilford Technical College in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Billy worked with the state of North Carolina and retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg County after 15 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was man who simply loved life, he would never meet a stranger. Dedicated to his family. He enjoyed traveling seeing the world.  His personality and charisma would light up a room.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother- Johnnie Mae Daniel, his sister-Quintette Sheppard, and his brother- John Daniel Jr.

He is survived by his only daughter, Deneill Daniel Galan (Santos Galan), granddaughter, Briana Galan, his sister, Diane Sheppard, Carolyn  (YaYa)  Brother, Bubba Dee  Brother, Karl Williams, and nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
