Arnold L. "Arnie" Ellison was born November 29, 1961 to Rothchild and Bobbie Jean Ellison. He was a native Texan and was preceded in death by both parents. Although he was an only child, Arnold was like a sibling to many in his extended family.
Arnold professed a love for Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was greatly inspired and well supported in his spiritual life by his parents, Grandparents Reverend Dr. Henry Clay and Willie Fay Dilworth, his Uncle Reverend Dr. Tony Leon Dilworth, and a host of extended family. Arnold was a member of Calvary First Baptist Church for many years and participated in a variety of the church's activities.
Arnold grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended public school in Corpus Christi, participating in band and the Future Farmers of America. He was a 1980 graduate of Mary Carroll High School. He developed and maintained strong relationships with his childhood friends. He continued his education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and later became a Canine Training Instructor.
Arnold's greatest hobby and profession stemmed from his passionate love of dogs and other animals. From early childhood, Arnold had several pets whom he enthusiastically and wholeheartedly gave AND received unconditional love and attention. He was able to turn his passion into his profession with Cool Wind K-9 Cadet Training. Many in the local community were able to depend on Arnold to provide exceptional obedience training, behavioral modifications, and service dog training to their pets.
Family was also special to Arnold. He supported his parents' efforts as they established and maintained the family reunions year after year for the Cyphers, Ellison, Moore, Smith, Ussery and Williams families. He was always excited to see family, enjoyed swapping stories, and leading family prayers, etc.
Arnold will truly be missed by his family, friends, patrons and his fur babies.
