Obituary

Anthony Edward Brown born May 5, 1960 in Corpus Christi passed away on October 4, 2020.  He was the husband of Donna Brown.  They shared thirty-three years together, twenty-five of those years as husband and wife.

Anthony was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and was the son of Rev. Loyd and Margie Brown.  He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1978.  He enlisted in the United Stated Army and received an honorable discharge in 1985.

He was employed by Toys are Us Corp. and was a Boat Rigger at Gunderland Marines before suffering a debilitating injury.

Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Hampshire Road Church of Christ.  He enjoyed attending church functions and fellowshipping.  He enjoyed sports and outdoors activities.  His greatest outdoors passion was fishing.

Anthony will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his warm gentle heart.  Everyone loved his large infectious smile. Once Anthony was a friend, he was a friend for life.

Anthony is survived by his wife Donna, Three sons: Brianne Brown, Matthew Bess (Vanessa), Trey Brown, and Tevin Brown.  One daughter Antoinette Patrice Brown. Brothers Wayne Brooks of Mexia, Texas. Wendell Williams (Maria) and James Brown (Pamela) of Corpus Christi.  Sisters Vanessa Joshlin (Melvin) of Corpus Christi, Loycie Jefferson (Jerry) and Cynthia Miller (Jimmy) of Houston, Texas.

Twelve grandchildren, one Great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on October 14, 2020 at Hampshire Road Church of Christ located at 5674 Hampshire Road in Corpus Christi, Texas 78408. Viewing and visitation will be from 10am – 11:00am prior to service.  Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery 9974 IH-37 Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.

Flowers or letters may be sent to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
