The Life & Legacy of Adell Lucas
Our beloved Adell Lucas transitioned into eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on Friday, April22, 2022.
Adell was born on October 28, 1947, in Bryan, Texas. She was the only child of OttoTownsell and Rosie
Lucas. Adell spent her adolescent years in Bryan & Terrell, Texas, where she was involved in various
social-clubs and school. She settled in Corpus Christi, Texas and became an employee of the Corpus
Christi Housing Authority, and later retired from the City of Corpus Christi. She was a former Matron with
the Order of the Eastern Star. She became active at St. John First Baptist Church, taking on the roles as
an Usher and head of the "Kitchen Crew". She is preceded in death by both her parents. She leaves
behind her spunk, sense of humor, and dedication, but most of all her three children: Yumi Lucas, Sheroid
Lucas, and Subronze Lucas. She has five grandchildren Jamaal Lucas (Antonia), Elisha R. Dickerson III,
Kiarra Ellison Lucas, Izaiah Coats-Lucas, Adam Anthony-Lucas. Niece Faithful Cannon-Chachere
(Dashaun), 7great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friend
